Working Together

How we work together.

Everything is built around you — your pace, your needs, your agenda.

My Approach

Person-centred counselling — what does that mean?

Person-centred counselling, developed by Carl Rogers, places you — not the therapist — at the heart of the process. There is no predetermined plan, no set agenda, and no pressure to move faster than feels right.

I believe you already hold the answers — my role is to provide the conditions in which you can access them. That means a warm, non-judgemental space where you can talk freely, explore what’s troubling you, and begin to find your own way forward.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” — Carl Rogers

Your Free Initial Consultation

No commitment. No pressure. Just a conversation.

Before we begin, I offer a free 15-minute phone or video call. It’s a chance to ask questions, get a sense of whether we’d work well together, and decide — without any obligation — whether you’d like to go ahead.

Sessions

What our sessions look like.

Each session is 55 minutes, either in person in Epping or online via Zoom. There’s no fixed structure — we talk about whatever feels most important to you that week. Sometimes sessions feel like a gentle conversation. Others go deep quite quickly. Both are fine.

I don’t give homework, prescribe approaches, or tell you what to think. I listen carefully, reflect back what I’m hearing, and ask questions that help you explore further. You’re always in control of what we cover and how fast we move.

Book a single session or a block — it’s entirely up to you. We’ll work around your schedule and find a rhythm that feels sustainable. View our full fees and session options.

“Counselling is not here forever. The goal is to give you the tools so you don’t need it.”

I’m not here to create a dependency. My goal is to work with you until you feel equipped to continue your journey independently — knowing you can always return if you need to.
