About Lynda

Life doesn’t always go according to plan.

At 49, following my divorce, I found myself starting a new chapter in my life. It wasn’t necessarily the chapter I had expected, but it gave me the opportunity to stop, reflect and think about what I really wanted from the next part of my life.

For 18 years, I ran my own property business, so I’m no stranger to hard work, responsibility and dealing with the occasional crisis! But throughout my life, I had always been interested in people, relationships and what makes us tick. Counselling had also played an important part in my own journey, helping me understand myself, work through challenges and make sense of life’s ups and downs.

The more I learned about counselling, the more I realised that this was something I genuinely wanted to pursue.

So, I decided it was time for a change. I retrained as a counsellor and followed a passion that had been quietly waiting in the background for many years.

And here I am!

Today, I have the privilege of helping people navigate their own life changes, challenges and transitions. I bring my professional training to my work, but I also bring something else — life experience.

I’ve experienced change, relationships, starting again, uncertainty and those moments when you find yourself thinking, “Okay… so what do I do now?”

I understand that life can sometimes leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed or disconnected from who we used to be. Sometimes we get caught up in patterns of thinking and behaving without really understanding why. And sometimes, we simply need someone to sit with us while we work things out.

I believe you don’t have to have everything figured out before you come to counselling. In fact, that’s often the reason we’re here in the first place!

My aim is to offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can be completely yourself. A place where you can talk openly, make sense of what’s going on, and perhaps even find a little humour in the wonderfully messy business of being human.

I don’t have a magic wand — although I would definitely keep one handy if I did! What I can offer is a safe space, a listening ear and the opportunity to explore what’s going on beneath the surface.

Because sometimes, you don’t need to become a completely different person. You just need a little help finding your way back to yourself.
