Online Counselling · Essex & UK-wide

Same support.
Wherever you are.

Online counselling via Zoom with Lynda Dorbin, BACP registered counsellor. Available across the UK — from the comfort of your own home.

Counselling that fits around your life.

Life doesn’t always make it easy to get to an appointment. Maybe you’re juggling work and family, you don’t live near Epping, or the idea of walking into someone’s office feels like one step too far right now.

Online counselling removes those barriers. We meet via Zoom — you from wherever feels most comfortable, whether that’s your sofa, your car on a lunch break, or a quiet corner of your home.

The research is clear: online counselling is just as effective as in-person. What matters most is the relationship — and that happens just as naturally over video.

I work with people across the UK online — from Essex and London to further afield. Wherever you are, if you’re ready to talk, I’m here.

I’m a BACP registered counsellor with a Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling — so your online sessions are held to exactly the same professional standard as in-person work.

Questions

Common questions about online counselling.

Is online counselling as effective as face-to-face?

Yes. The research consistently shows that online counselling is just as effective as in-person for most concerns, including anxiety, depression, and grief. Many clients actually find it easier to open up from the comfort of their own space.

What do I need for an online session?

A device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet, or laptop), a reliable internet connection, and a private space where you won’t be disturbed. Zoom is free to download — I’ll send you a link before each session.

Is online counselling confidential?

Absolutely. Everything discussed in our sessions is strictly confidential. I use Zoom (end-to-end encrypted) from a private, dedicated space. Your privacy is always my priority.

Can I switch between online and in-person sessions?

Yes — many clients do this depending on their schedule or circumstances. If you’re near Epping, you can mix and match. We’ll find what works best for you as we go.

What does online counselling cost?

£60 per 55-minute session — the same rate as in-person. A block of 5 sessions is £275. The initial 15-minute consultation is always free. See full fee details.
